The Pharisees loved to critique, and Jesus boldly calls them out revealing their heart. With the criticism being understood, Jesus states something that all of us should rest in as we share the gospel.

The Greatest Prophet or Greatest Gift?

In His confirmation of John the Baptist's ministry, Jesus reiterates the faithfulness of John; however, He remind those listening that there is something greater. What could be better than being the forerunner to Christ?

Doubting God?

In the most difficult season of his life, John the Baptist faced a battle within that led him to send some of his friends to Jesus. In His response, Jesus reassures him that He is the Messiah.

As we observe the actions of Jesus, we will see His heart and power to meet every need that we have. In the town of Nain, we learn this vital lesson because of our great need.

From the word of Jesus to the works of Jesus, we get to learn from an individual that had amazing faith. The faith on display was so great that Christ commended the individual for us to learn an incredible lesson.

A Life Built on Christ

Within this passage, Jesus finishes His message strong. He uses an illustration to drive home the importance of what we are building our life upon. If our foundation is faulty, trials will reveal it leading to ruin.
